The Merchant enjoys a location in Hull that is second-to-none. Found right in the city centre, residents are just minutes from everything including the riverfront, train station, shopping centres, bars, restaurants, cafes and Hull’s many cultural sites including the Maritime Museum, The Deep aquarium, Ferens Art Gallery and much more.
The nearby Hull Station is a five-minute walk away from The Merchant and opens up the rest of the UK. Major cities including York, Sheffield and Manchester are an easy train journey away and make The Merchant not just one of the most attractive places to live in Hull, but also a platform for trips to some of the UK’s most popular destinations.
Culture & Regeneration
Hull is Yorkshire’s maritime city and has become one of the UK’s most important manufacturing and energy hubs. It’s position on the River Humber gives it a unique sense of place built on 800 years of seafaring and a high-tech future that is delivering new jobs, industry and an aspirational lifestyle.
Albion Square
Located round the corner from Dunedin House, Albion Square is a £96m city centre project to create a mixed-use hub through the upgrade of existing spaces. This investment will create a whole new business, residential and commercial district in Hull that will provide 386 jobs, 226 homes and a range of prime offices and retail spaces by 2026.
Culture
Culture is the lifeblood of any city, but this is especially true in Hull which went underappreciated for many years until the 2017 City of Culture award which put it on the map. The city’s rich history and thriving contemporary arts scene was given national exposure and Hull hasn’t looked back.
Since then, Hull’s many museums, venues, events, festivals, exhibitions and artistic programmes have gone from strength to strength and made the city irresistible.
